Adobe Acrobat Reader Download Info
About PDF's
Adobe Systems' Portable Document Format (PDF) is a widely used format for providing forms and information via the Internet. Fool Time Circus adopted the PDF as its standard for distributing forms because it allows us to provide letter-perfect forms in the exact format needed.
Adobe's Acrobat Reader software is available for free download from Adobe's website. The Reader software enables any computer user to view and print the PDF documents. (For more about Reader, click here)

Fill-In Forms
PDFs can be made "fillable". Fool Time Circus & 888 Monkeys have provided some forms that you can complete on your computer screen, prepare for printing, and send us via email.
Fill-in forms with the ability to save locally will generate a dialog box when opened with Adobe Reader. If you are using Adobe Reader 6.05 or later, the dialog box will indicate that document rights have been applied to the PDF file and you can save the completed fill-in form. If you are using a version of Adobe Reader prior to Version 6.05, the dialog box will indicate that some features of the document will not operate and you will be prompted to obtain a newer version of Adobe Reader.
Completing the Form
When positioning the cursor on a fill-in area or element, the cursor will change appearance. The I-beam pointer allows you to type text. The hand pointer allows you to select a check box or radio button.
Enter the appropriate data in each box or field. To move from one field to the next, press the Tab key. You can also use your cursor to move from field to field. Place your cursor in the field you want to fill in, then left-click.
Some fields limit the maximum number of characters you can enter and may automatically advance to the next field.
For additional help with fill-in forms, see the Adobe Reader's online help information.

Printing Tips
Remember that a high quality printer is necessary to print usable copies of the forms. Any laser, ink-jet, or bubble-jet printer in good working order should be fine. Some high quality, high resolution dot matrix printers may work.

About Adobe Acrobat Reader
To view and print the forms and information available in PDF on the Fool Time Circus site, all you need is the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and can be run as an independent program or as a "plug-in" for most major web browsers to allow on-line viewing of PDF documents.
We recommend using the most recent version of the Acrobat Reader, but at least version 4.0 (or higher). Some forms and documents will not open with an older version of the Reader.
To download the Reader click on the "Get Acrobat" Reader button below. This will take you to Adobe Systems' website. Follow the detailed instructions on the Adobe website to download and then install the software on your computer.
If you are not able to install and configure the Reader software, please e-mail us with the names of the forms you need and we will be happy to send them to you by regular mail or by email.

Troubleshooting
Occasionally, .PDF files may not open automatically in your Internet browser. Following are some troubleshooting tips that may work for you. Additional assistance is available from the Adobe Systems website.
Plug-In help:
Some users of the Windows version of the Reader "plug-in" have trouble viewing PDF documents online (getting blank screens, for example). These tips may help, and the Adobe Systems website may have more tips for configuring the plug-in correctly:
- Acrobat Reader 4.x: configure Reader to not use the plug-in module by unchecking "Web Browser Integration" under File/Preferences/General (Netscape Navigator).
- Acrobat Reader 5.x: configure Reader to not use the plug-in module by unchecking "Display PDF in browser" under Edit/Preferences/Options.
Sometimes, reinstalling the Acrobat Reader software will correct the problem as well.

Security Settings
Check your browser security settings (Internet Explorer: Under the Tools menu, or the View menu in IE 4.x). If your browser security settings are set on "HIGH," your browser will not be able to open PDF forms and documents. Reset to "MEDIUM" or "LOW." If you do not wish to lower your security settings, please see the "Download Fix" section below.
